In this presentation, we’ll open with a look at “zero waste”, its technologies, its challenges, and the opportunities that exist for you and your organization (with a special look at large organizations, including: municipalities, universities, and military bases). Within this discussion, Housley will outline the best practices for designing and implementing your diversion program, as well as how to best measure your diversion results to meet your diversion and CO2/GHG reduction goals. Housley will also detail available technology (e.g., on-board truck scales, GPS devices, load management software, etc.) and how you can implement it to lower operational and capital costs in your organization. Finally, Housley will present real-world examples of large organizations that have implemented successful waste diversion programs and how you can too.
