Andrew J. Erickson, M.S., P.E.

Andrew J. Erickson received his B.S. from Michigan Technological University and his M.S. from the University of Minnesota, both in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in water resources. Erickson is currently a research fellow at St. Anthony Falls Laboratory and a registered professional engineer working on projects related to assessment and maintenance of stormwater treatment practices, developing of new stormwater treatment technologies, and modeling stormwater treatment practices. Erickson is an editor and contributing author for the online manual, “Stormwater Treatment: Assessment and Maintenance”, and maintains the website, http://stormwater.safl.umn.edu. He is the editor of the University of Minnesota stormwater newsletter, UPDATES, and has co-authored journal articles, conference proceedings, and project reports. Erickson has lectured in university classrooms, educational seminars, national and international conferences, and led professional development training workshops. Erickson also provides consulting engineering services for TMDLs, lake management plans, watershed district projects and regulations, and water quality modeling.
Erickson grew up in International Falls, MN, the famed ‘Icebox of the Nation,’ but has lived in New Jersey and England through cooperative education and study abroad programs. Erickson spends his free time, when available, enjoying music, travel, reading, and movies. He currently resides in Minneapolis, MN with his beautiful wife Lana, and adorable baby, Alex.
